My name is Michael.
Born in Chippenham,
Wiltshire, England, I spent 10 years at boarding
school before going out to Southern Rhodesia where I joined the
British South Africa Police. After my discharge, I lived in Durban,
South Africa then spent the next few years or so in the UK, South Africa
and the Middle East working mainly in three occupations - paper,
television and transport. Back in the UK in the '80's, I worked
in the construction and computer industries.
Both my wife and
I now live on the Isle of Eriskay in The Outer
Hebrides which are a group of islands off the West Coast of Scotland
and have two grown-up daughters, an 'attentive' son-in-law and three
grandsons who live in Sussex.
The title of my
web site, "Saorsa", is the Gaelic word for "Freedom" and it's also the
name of my 21' diesel cruiser on which I go out whenever I get the chance
..... and whenever the weather allows.
